I heard about that Donna, what a crazy thing to happen. I actually felt sorry for the guy who lost his job. No-one was hurt by it, and she was pretty old and sleeping by the back door, on a stretcher. Seems like an honest mistake...doesn't it?

Imagine waking up, feeling a bit nippy, only to find that you're in a big fridge with a bunch of dead people :o  Have you got a link to the article?

Still not as bad as a mistake that happened in a British hospital a couple of years ago - this guy went in to have a diseased kidney removed... but the surgeon messed up and took out the healthy one, leaving him with just the single diseased one.  The guy apparently picked up an infection at the same time, and died several weeks later, when originally his prognosis was pretty good.  :/

Hi Blunt, I'll see if I can find the link to the story. I'm busy trying to burn a DVD so it may have to wait a little while.

Thanks for the link Donna. Poor old girl, she must've been scared half to death, I'm glad she made it home safe and sound. I can't help but laugh though... "No, honest lady, we're not tryin to rush you or anything"   :azn:

Oops   In my own defence, it wasn't obvious until I ran my cursor over it  :bleh:

Thanks for the link :afro:

Makes you wonder what state the old girl was in though, doesn't it?  If left in a room with a corpse for a room mate, I would hope that I looked like the healthier of the two

Oh, I don't know. Perhaps she woke up and said, "Hey, I'm better off than you lot are!"

However did I miss seeing this at the time?  (That's probably what the old woman said, too.  Actually, I wonder if anybody did tell her after the event what had happened, or if they've left her in blissful ignorance?)

I just re-read this thread. Tell me, is "body collectors" a medical term in Canada? Sounds too close to body snatchers to me!! :P

It could be a hobby.  What do you do in your spare time?  Oh, I collect bodies.  I have special display shelves in my bedroom...

Hmmm, then there must be clubs, magazines and articles for these collectors. Like Body Collector Today and Bodies: How to Preserve Them WITHOUT That Formaldehyde Smell!. Perhaps even competitions for the most lifelike body? The mind boggles...

Or you could collect live ones.  ;D

Otherwise, yes - you've got some ideas there for publications that should make your fortune.

If my 'live' idea takes off, you could sell cages!

Not that I know of, Sharon. I think it's due to a lack of job title, or maybe lack of a better term for the writer.
