The other day I was trying to work out how to do in words what the great artists can do in many a pencil work or sketch - and that is to capture character and form in just one or two brushstrokes or lines. Couldn't figure out how to do this in my writing - but you can most certainly do so with these portraits! Actually, come to think of it, you can do it in words too. Grrr!!

Yes, I can sometimes do it in drawings, but it's MUCH harder with words, and I certainly haven't got that cracked.
