Carole Bromley's selection of summer poems, including one of mine  :afro: http://www.yorkmix.com/things-to-do/poetry-blog-a-last-lingering-look-at-summer/ (http://www.yorkmix.com/things-to-do/poetry-blog-a-last-lingering-look-at-summer/)

Cool. I'm a doofus when it comes to poetry, but I liked Now That You’re Gone. Feels a little sad.

I too generally don't get poetry - it often seems like pretentious twaddle especially when read out loud in monotone drone.

Enjoyed your Now that you're gone - apt for our summer - was that it?

Sometimes a poem hits a like nerve such as Kay Buckley's through smoke. I enjoy the juxtaposition of unrelated words such as "slow shape"

Thanks for the share, Catherine, and congratulations again!
