Had an amusing incident today.

Been looking around for ages now for some kind of writers conference to goto - it's always recommended. I trawled the internet but without any luck - most seemed a bit too literary for what i wanted. For some reason this morning i found myself on Ramsey Campbell's website so i thought i'd email him for advise, as you do. Amazingly enough he replied with a very polite and friendly mail suggesting i went to Fantasycon (http://www.fantasycon.org.uk) which is a 2 day event in September. There's a pretty impressive line up with RC plus Clive Barker and others...I think you can book seminars and workshops.

There's also a competition which looks interesting: http://www.britishfantasysociety.org.uk/info/sscomp.htm
