I'm trying to stay awake here, but it just ain't happening :D

Our two nippers spent the whole of last night chucking their guts up, poor little buggers - and by three in the morning they were acting in unison.  One on the top bunk puking, the other on the bottom bunk crapping his pants and hurling at the same time :(  What a mess!

So yeah, I'm waiting to see if me and the Mrs get the bug now - one or both of us usually do after the kids have it.  They're a lot better today, but still don't have their usual appetites.  Hopefully they'll be well enough to go to school tomorrow. :)

Ah the joys of parenthood ::)  Is it my imagination, or are there more of these stomach bugs around now than when I was a kid?  I don't remember getting sick very often at all, in fact I can only remember throwing up about three times in total when I was a kid, whereas our two seem to get one of these things every couple of months

Anyhoo...best go to bed and catch up on my beauty sleep (god knows I need it more than most anyway :D )
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

Nah you are just getting old and getting into the "things were better in my day"  train ofthought ;)

The other possibility is that the human tries to make you forget horrible situations, beyond the learning experience aspect.

(Fer instance, do you remember the first time you got burned?  I don't but I remember that hot things can burn ya!)

Also my ex used to tell me about endorphins and such mask pain in your memory.  Other wise women would never be willing to get pregnant a second time.

But you are lucky, at least you got both kids sick at the same time.

Bugger me, my three ALWAYS take turns.  One after another and then the wife. (I do not get sick, I used to get hangovers, but thats different ;) )

Go get some rest old man.  Everybody needs some sleep sometimes

LOL, yeah, that could be it - that's another trick your brain plays on you.  You think things used to be better, but it's only because you didn't care about those things at the time.

Not sure about the first time I got burnt, but I definitelty remember my first electric shock :D  I was about four at the time, and it didn't so much hurt as scare the shit out of me.

And yeah, it's usually my wife that gets the bug, rather than me, because she usually has more contact with their dribble.  As for the kids, they usually get it one at a time, but sometimes we're lucky and only one of them comes down with it.   :)

I got about nine hours sleep last night, but I woke up feeling blearly-eyed still ::)  Normally I only get about six hours and feel fine on it.  Go figure

Blunt, hope the grubs are feeling better, not too much mess for you and Mrs B. to clean up.

I'm quite happy getting by on about 5-6 hours sleep, though once or twice a week it's as little as four :o (getting a kip at work helps out though ;))
Writing, when properly managed, (as you may be sure I think mine is) is but a different name for conversation.
