Found this one quite disturbing to look at.  I hope that's not a real baby - it hasn't got much of a future if it is. :/

Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

That's a real baby :o  Horrific genetic disease called 'Harlequin Fetus Disease'.  Scary shit.  Only look at the following links if you've got a strong stomach.  Can you imagine the parents' horror when they first see their baby? :/

I don't know how you recover from that kind of horror.  :'(  Jiminy! :/

Seeing stuff like that makes me thank my lucky stars for having two healthy boys.  There's so much that could have gone wrong. :/

Sure, I've got a strong stomach.  I can toss mine as far as the next guy. :wha:

That's pretty incredible.  Parents are not related and father has a bit of psoriasis?!  That's a helluva birth defect.  I just had my third grandson delivered premature - a little bit of a heartvalve problem but it seems like small potatoes compared to this.  I think I *needed* to see this to get a bit of perspective.  There *are* fates worse than death.

Sorry to hear about your grandson's health problems, Stormm.  Like you say, though - it could be so much worse.  Surgeons are pretty good at treating heart valves in newborns these days, so he's got a good chance of leading a completely normal life.  Still a worrying time though, I'll bet.

Ny niece needed heart work (valve) when she was a newborn. She just turned 18 and she's a healthy, happy, normally tempermental teenager. The things they can do these days is just amazing. Stormm, I'll bet they take great care of your grandson.
