Angel of light, blanket me,
Protect me from my misery.
I no longer have the will to survive,
Blanket me from my wish to die.
See me on bended knees?,
See the tears that flow free?
Hear the pain in my heart?
Feel the agony that will not part?
Angel of light, blanket me,
I pray to thee,
Shed some warmth in this dark well,
Take me from this living hell.
Angel of light, don't abandon me!
A lost soul I will be......
Show me things can really change,
Save me from my hate and rage.
Angel of light, I beg you to see,
I need you to save me,
Save me from ME!

Hey bones, I wrote that ON my birthday!  And Seph, funny you should say that, because lately I have been entertaining thoughts of writing music. Thanks, everyone, for the compliments.

It seems that this particular section of the forums is somewhat inactive.  That will change now that I'm around .

Nefarious, this piece is rather short, but it's certainly sweet.  The rhyme scheme is good, and with the exception of one or two lines, it flows brilliantly.  I've had my share of poems written in this manner, so I know how you felt.  Anyway, good writing.
