I've just received this e-mail from Billie Moran about Black Ink Horror magazine, so I thought I'd put it up here in case anybody fancies giving it a go.

Hi,

My name is Billie Moran and I'm the wife of artist Tom
Moran and co-publisher of Sideshow Press publications.
Some of you may remember us from Wicked Karnival's
hayday--Tom being one of the editors and artists that
regularly contributed to the magazine.

We currently publish a horror magazine and we'd love
for you to take a look at it.  Black Ink Horror is
Sideshow Press's flagship periodical, and a magazine
that every fan of horror fiction and art will love.
Edited by Tim Manning, each issue features short
fiction accompanied by beautiful pen and ink
illustrations (issue #2 has 22 full-page illos!).
These issues are professionally printed and are NOT
distributed through Lulu.  And wait until you see the
matte-finish cover...

For more info on this 8 x 5, digest-size masterpiece,
simply visit our site at

You can also visit the site for info on submitting or

This is a project Tom and I are very proud of, and
once you see how gorgeous the magazine is, you'll be
looking forward to each new issue.

Thanks so much,
Billie Moran

Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

Be sure to READ the GUIDELINES folks. It's a great opportunity, with a deadline soon upon us of 10-15-07.
