Am I the only one who absolutely, positively CANNOT WAIT to read all the stories?!  I was reading the rules page (because, yes, I'm obsessive) and I really like two aspects of it: (1) we can't vote for our own stories, and (2) the authors are anonymous until voting's done. I'm glad I can't vote for myself because I don't even have to mess with that whole moral dilemna of "I know so-and-so's story's better, BUT . . ." It should be fun trying to figure out who wrote what story, too. SamLee and SharonBell, did either of you submit?? I'll just keep an eye out for any story involving a canine eating body parts!

Ed

Well, we'll all have a few to look at - nineteen so far, and still another week to go, yet :afro:

Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

I entered
I am psyched to see if people like it. Of course they won't know it's me, but I can still see if it gets votes and such.

Too cool. I can't wait (obviously). Of course, I have plenty of working, writing and child-rearing to keep me busy with in the meantime!

I'm dying to read them (cue lots of groans from the audience...)

Me too. Me too. Did you submit, Paul?

I've sent Ed my entry. First draft written on an easyJet plane Liverpool to Malaga. Any phrase you don't like put down to turbulence and being distracted by scantily-clad hostesses. (I had to imagine the scantily-clad bit).

Geoff

Ed

And Geoff's entry takes us up to twenty stories  :afro:

Hope you had a good hols, Geoff

Hey everyone.  I found my way here from LJ.  I don't know if I'll be able to finish something in time, but I'm going to try.  It'll be a bit of an adventure.

Ed

Hi, sylvrilyn, and welcome to the forum. Good luck if you manage to tap out a story in time to take part

I've got a couple of entries that I can't open, because they're in .wps format (MS Works)(or doesn't, as the case may be ::) ). I've tried e-mailing the peeps to ask them to resubmit in either .rtf, .doc, or .txt, but haven't got a response yet, so if you're one of these folks and are reading this, please resubmit :afro:

Hah. I've had this Dell 'puter for 3 years and hadn't noticed the full MS Works suite is installed. Ed, if you want to send me those two wps files I'll send em back to you as doc or rtf
