Well done, Rook -- that's a great achievement. Did you do it for nano, or have you been on it for a fair bit longer?

:2funny:

Not NANO. *snort* It's been over eight months, and that isn't counting the 15,000w short story at its core--which incedently was based on a flash I wrote for the Challenge last December. I left that sit quite a while before I plunged into the full narrative.

NANO + Me = :2funny:

Pharo--That's the start of an epic! I'm a fan of long books--I say go for it. Or you could turn it into a series.  :afro:

Thanks, Del! Novels are where it's at!

You can do eet, Pharo!

Is that a Little Nicky quote?  Only Adam Sandler movie I've ever watched all the way through--and more than once.

Thanks, Oz!

Just back from my step-daughter's funeral. Such a sad occasion. Many hugs, but so much sorrow too.

Catherine, my condolences. I cycled Horseshoe Pass from Chester to Llangollen then back up the pass in the opposite direction. So I dedicate that ride to your step-daughter. I'd not cycled both directions in the same day before and it will be a looooong time before I do it again!

So sorry, Delph. Please accept my condolances.

Thank you all so much for the condolences everyone, and Geoff, special thanks for the dedication, which was more appropriate than you could know. Much appreciated.

I can't imagine how awful that must have been for you, Delph. My condolences.

My thoughts are with you, too, Delph. Had a couple of similar days myself this year.

Very sorry to hear that, Delph. It must be even worse for your husband. My thoughts are with you both.

Found out my dad has to go to the hospital on Dec 23rd to have his heart defibrillator tweaked.  He said he'll be there overnight so I'm crossing my fingers he won't be spending Christmas in the hospital.
