Hah. My band coverd England Belongs To Me by Cocksparrer - only we changed England to Stockton and rewrote a few lines to make it work for our town.

hahah, that's a great song, but I've long had an affinity for "Tough Guys"
Tune up all your rusty strings, let every Christian sing - I wanna dance when I go to meet my king.

Morbid Misery

A nice mix - anything except country and western and Rap.

Favourites include, Metallica, Korn, Everclear, The Doors, U2, Icehouse, Matchbox 20, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel, and Snow Patrol.

Been listening to UFO all day today, figuring out some of Miochael Schenker's guitar parts for one of my students. But i didn't start on this until I'd written 1200 words first  ::)

Yet somehow it still feels like I've under achieved today.

"If you want to write, write it. That's the first rule. And send it in, and send it in to someone who can publish it or get it published. Don't send it to me. Don't show it to your spouse, or your significant other, or your parents, or somebody. They're not going to publish it."

On a bit of a Sidney Samson tip today... I heard this on the radio earlier and thought it might be funny to do a spoof video with riverdance instead of 'riverside', but I see somebody had the same idea before me. The second half of this is funnier than the beginning:

More Riverdance, mo-fo:

Love this acoustic cover of KoL's Use Somebody:

haha oh dear  :cheesy:

I've just got into Fleet Foxes.  They're the very definition of 'pleasant' and wouldn't normally be the sort of thing I like, but they're also a little sinister, and have a strange Americana country vibe mixed in with their 'medieval-hippies-having-a-funeral-in-the-woods' vibe  nice to have on when writing!  I've also been listening to Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures quite a lot lately.

Stay in touch! I don't mean that in a pervy way.

I noticed some posters around the area I live in, they're for a tribute band called, The Kings of Leigh on Sea  cool.
Some may say slaughtered is too strong a word...but I like the sound of it.

My recent listens have been dominated by WARREN ZEVON, DAX RIGGS and an assortment of cheesy 80's heavy metal!!

I was listening to a lot of Muse, then I got into old Snoop Dogg, then back to an all time favorite with Depeche Mode, and now I'm on a Dixyland kick.  Go figure...

Look for my debut novel THROUGH THE IN BETWEEN, HELL AWAITS in 2012 from Grand Mal Press.

Seriously weird, Robert. Muse, yes. Snoop Dogg, okay. Dixyland, why not. But Depeche Mode? Urrgghh.

This morning the postman delivered a ticket to go and see Muse at Wembley. I'm supposed to hand it on to my son. I want it! *sigh*

I'm going through one of my regular Wagner's Ring Cycle phases at the moment.

Funny, I never much liked Depeche Mode at the time, but now there are several of their tracks on my iPhone. Particularly like Personal Jesus :afro:

Nothing's really rocking my world at the moment, though I'm listening to and trying to like Paolo Nutini. Bought Neyo's album a while back, and last year belonged to the Black Eyed Peas. Some of that album drove me mental with repetition, though. :idiot:

I'm really into Jim Moray at the moment. He gave a shortened version of his last album away with Songlines magazine a couple of months back and it's fab. Listening to it at least once a day. Intending to buy his back catalogue soon, so job done, I guess.

Also going through a whole load of Robyn Hitchcock stuff that I picked up cheap from his online store when they were getting rid of old stock. The man's a genius.
