This was in the paper today, and all us men had a good laugh at it :azn:

Have you ever stopped to think that this female method of responding to threats may be more sound than the way men are programmed to respond? If negative comments trigger fear... is it not possible that women may then find a way to improve on their shortcomings? Men, on the other hand, get all rational and just sit back and say things like "Well, it's just the way I am." [scratch, belch, fart]

Nope, it just sounds like an irrational argument to me :fugly:  Don't worry though - apparently you're just responding to your programming ;)

See, women just get angry, fearful and tearful - then hit the cakes and go on a binge to make themselves feel better, whereas men figure out what they're going to do about it...if anything, because they know there's a good chance the woman is just being irrational again, and they're lookin gooood, despite what their other half's telling them :dance:

Since I have time today, maybe I can stir up some shit myself. IF there is indeed a part of the brain that responds negatively to INSULTS (doesn't seem so wierd) then I guess the actual physical response might be dictated by culture as well.  I'm from the "hood," as we say down here and we are programmed to respond to insults and threats with violence or threats of violence--which is the healthiest way, I know. :evil:

Like the time the guy who  called me a "stupid bitch" got sent across the room with a kick to the head...
I haven't actually had anyone call me fat, come to think of it. :/

I tried to spread the gospel in college to my middle- class girlfriends. It's hard, though. This world needs some more ass-kickin' :afro:
