Hi!

The Counter-Strike 1.6 clan, [SGS] is looking for a logo for our clan.
[SGS] stands for StarGate Security.
We will use this on products in the giftshop and on the website we are making.
Here is what the owner wants :
"a rat with his head turned, portal in his fangs, with a building very far way through the portal, with a rat in a terrorist outfit being scoped by a ct rat."

Here is what the portal looks like :

If you feel like you could make something better then by all means do but we do request that it have a portal in it.

We are willing to pay for this.    :hidin:

  Hmmm...that'll be difficult to do well :o

TBH, I'm too busy to even think about doing it at the moment, sorry :(  Maybe in a month's time.
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

Not to mention... isnt that copyrighted?

"Stargate," "Stargate SG-1," "Stargate Atlantis," "Stargate Infinity," characters, and images from the film and television series are copyrighted by MGM Television Entertainment, Stargate Productions, and NBC / Universal.

so i think ya owner should revise what he wants, since he is considering to merchandise with something similar, if made or altered to a copyright.

It's not as hard to do as you think - I'm pretty sure that's just a skinned PHP Nuke Portal.  All you have to do is install the portal, play with the CSS and replace the default images - doable in a weekend, from start to finish ;)

Yeah thats kind what I am doing now.

I install phpwebsite v10 to play around with some of the settings.

Figure I will take it apart at code level and figure out how it does stuff..

Fer instance... I found out how to do my dynamic news pages, using XML the app does it for me though. Instead what I am goingto do is make multiple News Pages, one for security one for hardware one for whatever, etc etc..

HAvent picked out the feeds yet, but.. .am getting there.

Also figured that was how I was going to take care of the theme.  Just make all my images the same sizes and names as the ones included in the package, and insert my own designs.

Still I think it will be a while before I develop a flash anything.  ;)

Wasting too much time learningeverything else ATM

Yeah, I know the feeling.  I wish I could organise myself well enough to learn one thing at a time, but what I keep doing is learning just enough of each bit to get something done.  Then, once it's done, I get on with the next thing, and forget everything I learnt last time :cheesy:

BTW, if you're going to link the page to your forum, check out the topic 'SSI includes' on the SMF forum - there's a page already built into your forum that shows what you can display, and the code string to display it, which you put in your portal/webpage.  Good stuff :afro:
