Lost one of the good print markets. Shame really. I liked these guys. They've been doing it for five + years, and each issue looked that much better than the last. I had a story sitting with them for a couple months, too.

Damn - another one bites the dust. Let's hope they reappear in a different incarnation at some point :/
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

It didn't sound like it from the tone of their web page, but who knows. I liked this mag as well.

Is this an average year for dead markets or does their seem to be more than usual?

There does seem to be more markets folding this year than in others.

As you say, Scott, the tone of the announcement makes it sound like the staff of the mag have had enough. Possibly fell out with each other, I suppose. It seems like it's quite a committment to keep churning out a mag on a regular basis. It can't be all fun.
