I walked by these large windows at work today. It's a bright, sun shining, beautiful day except for the fact it is snowing! I went outside to check if what I was seeing was correct. It is 25 degrees (with a wind chill of -2) and mostly sunny. I held a little snowflake in my hand, again just to verify it was snow. That left me with one conclusion. Yes, only in Oklahoma can it snow while the sun is shining.

You should try living in England. I've stood on one side of the street in bright sunshine whilst rain fell on the other side of the street. I'm sure some numpty will say it's all to do with climate change...it might even be the same one who was in the papers saying that the local council would have to stop watering flower baskets as water was now so precious. It makes me wonder why they haven't noticed that the last two summers have been memorable for the endless rainfall and floods. Oh, and yeah, our current winter is the coldest for thirty years.
What planet do these people live on? obviously not the same one as me.

  Rant over :bangh:
Some may say slaughtered is too strong a word...but I like the sound of it.

I've had a similar experience before. My parents live in a house where the lounge extends from the back of the house to the front, and I remember one time I looked out of the front window, where it was a bright, sunny, summer day, but when I looked out the back it was absolutely peeing down, with black skies, looking like the dawn of armageddon. It stayed that way for several minutes, as if summer was battling winter in the skies above. Weird ::)
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

You never really think that storms have an edge until you find yourself on it - we categorize days as "rainy" or "snow" days, but it's not like the world's engulfed.  It always makes me feel sort of caveman when I see something like that - a dry half and raining half.  Makes me want to go poke it with a stick then ponder the Gods, haha.
