This guy's amazing!  When I heard someone had invented a pedal-powered motorbike, I thought "isn't that what a pedal and pop does?" but then it turns out this chap's is electric (so no emissions) and has to be pedalled to actually move!  Here's the vid on the BBC site:

Shame it costs $40,000  if it wasn't for the price tag I'd want one.
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

Seems like the price should come down fairly quickly if the thing catches on and it goes into mass production.

Rev. Austin

I suppose the price is worth it, in the long run, since you never need to buy petrol, and I'm going to assume that MOTs and so forth would be a lot cheaper with an electric engine having less parts than a normal engine.  I am just assuming on that point though because I'm no mechanic haha

Having said that, though, anything could do with being cheaper  ;)

Sorry, can't believe this one. It magnifies the energy put into it by a factor of fifty...yeah, right...what they do, forget to mention the small nuclear reactor under the chain guard.   :bleh:
Some may say slaughtered is too strong a word...but I like the sound of it.

Yeah, or you have to pedal it in your garage for fifteen hours before setting off on a two mile journey
