This is the first I've heard of the novel or the writer. It hit #28 on the USA Today's Best Selling Book list and there are 650,000 copies in print.

Not sure what to think, but my first reaction is irritation.

I'm a huge Jane Austen fan, but have never been greatly taken with zombie fiction. This might be just the way to get me into the genre.

Part of me thinks "well that's just lazy" and another part of me thinks "crafty buggers, why didn't I think of that?"

I actually read this a little while ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think it's the politeness of the Jane Austen style writing juxtaposed with the liberal amounts of gore and loving descriptions of decapitating heads that made it work for me. Definitely a fun read, with the sisters showing off their ninja zombie-slaying skills but it hasn't made me rush out and buy Mr Darcy - Vampire. (Honest, that's a real book too)
