 Oh, those are wonderful, both posts!

Okay, now we're into that section of the mental filing cabinet - odd names I have known about.

A man my father worked with - Eustace Pugh (say it aloud, go on).

Full name of another colleague - Norman Conquest Bridge.

My aunt by marriage (before marriage - this was how her parents sent her out in the world!) - Angelina Angel.

One of my mother's clients - I P Standing.

Another of my mother's clients - W C Stainer.

A firm of solicitors near my Granny's - Hitchcock and Scratchit.

Another firm of solicitors - Green and Frogley.

The undertaker in our French twin town, which vastly amuses all the school children that do the exchange visit - R Soul.

My best friend at primary school was Aaron Dick... pronounced 'air-on'.  :azn:

Researching an aspect of police procedures in murder cases, I found myself interviewing a Sergeant Blood. His superior was Inspector Kadavar.

We had a laugh every single day at school registration when Keith TIngley was in the list just before Billy Toes. Of course only the surnames were called out.

Back to real ghosts. There is an ancient Roman road about 200 yards from me. As in most of Britain, people claim to see legionnaires, usually of the 9th legion, who all went missing in action on a walk one day - probably lured by Celtic wenches. I wrote a ghost story based on the road, which has become a footpath across fields and woodland. I called it No Way - it is at www.horrormasters.com A Hollywood film producer has optioned it for a low budget straight-to-DVD film. The irony being that they are filming it this year in USA's New England - presumably with New ghosts  ;)

Hi Geoff--

Loved the names!  :cheesy:

And, I hear the ghosts in the US will work for scab wages.  :bleh:

I've got 3 wierd ones for y'all (names that is).
My ex-wifes boyfriend's father-     Harry Cox (no kidding)

A man who lived on my bus route
when I was in High school-          Harry Legge (pronounced Leg)

A funeral Home in Erin, Ontario-   Butcher Funeral Home (Yikes! You stab 'em, we slab 'em)

Inspector Kadavar sounds like a lively guy ::)

Congrats on getting your story optioned for a movie :afro:  I bet you're chuffed about that.  Was your story spotted (by the producer) on that horrormasters site?
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]
