You never know, Woody - they might just honour the new price, or throw something in FOC. Stranger things have happened.

It could be that the one you chose doesn't have 50% off it. That happened to us when we went into Wickes looking for a kitchen when they were advertising 50% off deals. What they actually said was 'up to 50% off' and in the small print said 'on selected kitchens'. Turned out the one we wanted wasn't in the sale.

It didn't bother us too much because it was just a stopgap kitchen, until I build the new extension. We just went for the cheapest one in the sale and got the whole lot for £1,500 including an oven and hob. Some units (after we cleared out most of their stock) were discounted to 90p, which was quite annoying, but the trigger for that happening was the low stock level we brought about by buying our kitchen ::)

Good luck with the B&Q eejits :afro:

A point of note is that when anyone offers a sale price it must by law be on sale to the public somewhere for a set time. Often this outlet is not actually easily accesible and nobody in their right mind would pay it anyway. A bit like the duty free at airports, and places like Gibralter. A good con if you can run it.
