On the one hand, those with the true desire to help give a positive image aren't that far removed from things like those 'Guardian Angel' street patrols, just with cooler costumes  ;) but I bet (and from reading the RLSH forum it sounds like) that there are a bunch of idiots out there who do it 'for a laugh' or whatever.  Interesting, either way.

It's a nice idea, but I can't help thinking this is going to end badly for him.  :idiot:
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

It's because I live in your MIND Ken!  Real cosy in here too, bwahahaha!

Ed - I think it's interesting that the *real* real life super heroes have some form of physical training or associated skill, and none of them carry firearms.  Most of them do charity work and stuff like that, because as goofy as they look at least they're not stupid  :cheesy: but it just takes that one kid with no brains to act like an actual vigilante...

I totally understand their desire to remain anonymous. Years back I took a stand one day and got in a gang leader's face that lived across the street. While I'm yelling, I keep hearing this little voice behind me saying, "Mom, please, I have to go to school tomorrow...." When I finally let the words register and their significance sink in, I promptly shut my mouth, grabbed her arm and went home. Another day, when police were there over some fight going on, I complained and was told by the cop to shut up or he'd take me in. Afterward I was warned how some people end up getting their house fire bombed. I put the house up for sale and was done. Gangs don't fight in ways that make much sense. For the most part, they are kids looking for a group to belong to so they'll feel safe living in the same neighborhood. That's where the battle can do the most good, starting with the young kids and finding more ways to protect and educate them about the reality of what's going on in the cities.
