This is one of those ideas I wish I'd thought of. In fact I'm sure the idea is used elsewhere but can't think where. Yes, you can probably guess the ending before it happens but I still like it.

Yes, I like it, but as you say, the ending didn't come as a surprise. Good creepy premise, though I think some of the best moments in horror come from the ordinary things that turn into something not quite right.
