I had a blast last year so I'm going back. Anyone else thinking of attending?

KILLERCON 3 - September 22 - 25, 2011

Coming to you from one of  Las Vegas' Landmark hotels, the Stratosphere, where the sky is barely the limit!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hot on the heels of Killercon 2, Wrath James White has teamed up with R.J. Cavender of +The Horror Library+ and Bailey Hunter of Dark Recesses Press to bring you a con you won't dare to miss.  In the true spirit of Killercon, this group will be working hard to ensure that you, our esteemed guests, will be entertained, informed and generally have a great time as Horror, Thriller, Paranormal Romance, Film and Fiction collide in a grand genre-spanning spectacle.

The Guest of Honor list includes horror greats such as Lucky McKee, Ray Garton, Jonathan Maberry, Monica S. Kuebler and Jeff Mariotte. Unfortunately Mick Garris had to step down. As he states in his own words "...I'll be in production in Nova Scotia until the end of September, and thereby unable to attend KillerCon.  I'm very disappointed not to be able to accept the honor of your invitation." Fear not though because slipping seamlessly into this spot is our newest Guest of Honor and multi mass-market published author, Edward Lee!  It is a full and well rounded list sure to meet your dark fiction needs.

The Schedule of Events page has undergone some serious updating. An itinerary for panels, GoH readings, seminars and parties has been posted, along with further details on the different contests you want to take part in and who's throwing what parties at what time!  You'll want to take a peek because there are a few fun surprises! The full listing of readings will be available once they have been finalized, but with our single track programming, you won't be forced to make the hard decisions of where to put your valuable time.

The talented Mort Castle will be providing his always well received writing workshop.  Four hours that will help any writer, at any stage of their career, build stronger work and see what makes for good and bad writing.  Details for this can be found under the Schedule/Events tab above. THIS WORKSHOP IS ALREADY OVER HALF FULL - LIMITED SPACE IS AVAILABLE.

A great NEW event has been added to the roster - A two part FORENSICS SEMINAR! with a great hands-on section dealing with blood splatter.  Messy and informing!  More details can be found under the Schedule/Events tab up top.

The hotel details have been updated (under Hotel of course) with your special Con Rate code.  We have an excellent rate secured for you starting at just $39.00 complete with great perks to make your stay an all around fun time.  The Stratosphere has worked hard to ensure that your convention experience is a great one from check-in to check-out!  It's best to call and don't wait.  September is a BUSY convention month in Vegas and we'd hate for you to miss securing your spot to regenerate.

The crowd favorites such as the Creative Fiction Contest and the Erotic Horror Fiction Contest (which is being hosted by Ravenous Romance once again so bring your A-Game) will be eagerly awaiting your talents, and you can expect many great panels to fill your mind and your notebook with.  Pitch sessions will take place (to be announced at a later date) and of course a dealer's room which will be well noted throughout the hotel.

We will be occupying the 24th floor with the Sierra Room for panels / readings and the Majestic Room to accommodate the many excellent Dealer Room offerings.

We will continue update with information such as registered member perks worked out with the hotel, events, attendees, programming (as we come closer to the date) and so on.  You will be able to find updates here, as well as through Facebook and Twitter.

We're looking forward to spinning your heads exorcist style.

Stay tuned...

I would love to attend, and I thoroughly enjoyed my last visit to Vegas, but I don't think the pennies are going to stretch to it this year, sadly. Have a great time, though. Tell us how it goes :afro:
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

I'll be in Vegas that week, but leaving two days before KillerCon.   :bangh:

Had I known about the convention sooner, I would have made different plans.

Can't you extend your stay a little, Robert? I've never rescheduled a flight, so I don't know how difficult it is, but it seems doable.

I'm booked and ready to go! Always wanted to experience Vegas and wanted to attend another Con this year so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.

I'm actually driving.  Too expensive to fly from California.  With work and the babysitter and everything my scedule is pretty tight.  It would have been fun.

Ah right. It's not too bad a drive, actually -- I did it back in 1992. Keep meaning to do it again, but have never got around to it.

Cool! I'll see you there then. I'll look for the nametag that says Hauntedmarrs.  ;)

You might make it, Ed, so long as you get on the road now.  :2funny:

I need a good lottery win. That would sort things out nicely. Just two or three million would do. I'm not greedy :afro:
