The dog's just been sick on mine. Seriously.
"If you want to write, write it. That's the first rule. And send it in, and send it in to someone who can publish it or get it published. Don't send it to me. Don't show it to your spouse, or your significant other, or your parents, or somebody. They're not going to publish it."

Everyone's a critic, huh? ::)
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

The waiting and constant checking...this might be worse than just subbing to an editor and not hearing back fo 6 months...  LOL :cheesy:

There's been some very useful commentary so far and I reckon by the time this is over I'll have learned a massive amount about my tale, about writing in general, and about what people look for, get moved by, enjoy, and are scared by in a story. It's like a year's worth of learning and feedback compressed into a fortnight.

Just the job, Gromit!

What he said (I'm not feeling particularly articulate).

This is an excellent experience. I hope to finish reading sometime tomorrow, and to get my own votes/thoughts posted shortly thereafter.

Everyone involved has done an incredible job, although I'd like to punch those whose stories are SO well-written that they make me feel like a total hack right in the face.

Y'hear that, you talented bastards?! IN. THE. FACE.

*ahem*
