We often write an acknowledgement page as an afterthought having poured all our energy and soul into the book. So now my science fiction, ARIA, is in the final draft edits with the publisher I put my keyboard to the acks page. Amazing how many people have been involved - from the famous to the linguist experts, from publishers who didn't want it but wished me well with advice, to editors. Good stuff, Geoff! Well done on completing the book and good luck with the sales!
"If you want to write, write it. That's the first rule. And send it in, and send it in to someone who can publish it or get it published. Don't send it to me. Don't show it to your spouse, or your significant other, or your parents, or somebody. They're not going to publish it."

You said in your blog: "Feel free to shout if I have missed you or erred."

It looks as though you misspelled the name of one of the people you're acknowledging: M. Kenyon Charboneax should be M. Kenyon Charboneaux.

Thanks Pharo, quite right. Do you know Kenyon by any chance? I used to e-chat to her every day for years then she became ill a few years ago and went into a Florida nursing home. She's not very old (compared to many of us here) and I've written to her nursing home a couple of times with no response.

Pharosian

Sadly, I don't; I just know my French. Sad to hear that she's taken ill at a relatively young age.
