This will come as no surprise to some ... I'm heading over to the UK in mid-October. There are a number of writers over there I really need to meet. And one particularly special one ... flirtybee.

Anyhoo ... there's a gathering being organized that consists so far of writers from another forum (some of whom frequent Doom as well). We're planning on meeting in Avebury on the Oct. 29/30 weekend. Apparently, there's a haunted pub right in the middle of a stone circle ...

Del (WelshPixie) has taken on the mammoth job of rounding up the troops. If you're interested in joining us, please e-mail her at: delyth.angharad@gmail.com

So far, the body count is up to around eight. It would be wonderful if some Doomers could join in to help us have a freakingly creepy Halloween ... and celebrate the joining of two writers from opposite sides of the ocean who have been talking themselves silly for endless hours over the past five months!

Thanks for the invitation :afro:  Hopefully I'll be able to make it, but I won't know until nearer the time

Sounds good.  So, who's going to be the first one to shout, "Get a room, you two!" ;)
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

It's been done already, blunt.  :embarassed:

It would be so cool if you and your wife could  join us!

Yep, it's not particularly far from where we are - probably a 45 minute drive.  It will be fun to put some faces to names.
