Best book I've read in a long time. This is a collection of true stories and personal observations from the life of brain surgeon, Henry Marsh, nearing retirement. It's a fascinating insight into the triumphs and catastrophic failures that come with the turf. I'm not so sure I would want to read it right before surgery, but I think this is one of those books that opens up your mind in more ways than one.

9.5 out of 10 from me afro

Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]
