Here's a look at the cover illustration for my upcoming book "40 Bullets to the Head". This is the 1st place I've posted it. The book should be out by this Christmas.

You'll excuse my not saying 'I like this' because of the subject matter, but it really works, Paul.

Thank you... the book has 40 short & flash fiction stories of dark fiction. When I came up with the title I found myself a little stuck with an idea for an illustration... at least one that would be tasteful but yet have a hard impact. Then this came to mind. I think it shows graphic violence without actually showing graphic violence. This one was also done in oils.

Er, Blunt...

Last night I saw Paul's picture in his post.  This morning, all that came up originally was a frame with a little red square, though I left it plenty of time and hit F5.  Now I've posted to reply, I can see the picture in the back-conversation that's below the reply frame.  Odd?

Paul - again, I like the colours you've used  :afro:  Emotive imagery, perfect for the book cover.  I like it.

Joyce - I'm not sure what's going on with your Internet connection   Pretty sure it must have something to do with AOL though

Thanks for the compliments. I'm currently working on 6 illustrations for the inside of the book for some of the stories. The inside illustrations will be printed in b/w but I'll still do them in color. The way I handle contrast in most of my images they seem to change over to b/w really well... besides I just can't help myself... something about an oil in color when finished. You know?
