This might be hard to accomplish every week, but I thought it would be a good idea for us all to vote for a story of the week to post on the front page of the main site, along with the pic of the week at the top.

So lets have your nominations here, please :)
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

Neuromancer

Oh boy....

Well not that its a big issue yet... but a competition pieces eligible for item of the week?

Cuz aiwazz definitely kicks some ass in ps.

Hmm

As for what story?  Thats tuff need to think about that.

I like the Dr Grew on Mars...

Does it have to be a dark story though?

I don't suppose it has to be Dark, hell I'm easy about the whole thing, so I'm happy to go with whatever everybody wants :)

At the moment, I don't think it would be a good idea to nominate Competition entries though; it might look like favouritism, and could give an unfair advantage to whichever ones are chosen.  What does everybody else think?  I know we're a bit skint for choice at the moment, cause nobody's using the gfx section yet, except Vandal.  I think we should maybe pick one of his though.  Open to suggestions, so fire away with your views.

Well I dont know about favoritism...

After all When you pick employee of the year.. its usually the person the made meployee of the month the most times right?

However.. the opposite could also be true.

Posting it as a weekly winner could give it more, play.  Greater exposure, and thereby a favorite.

So whatever LOL

(Yeah, I have NO problem making dcisions, damn Libra)

OK, tell you what - we'll wait another few hours and then make a poll too see what the concensus is :)

Pic of the week: guess it'll have to be your horny babe Mr Blunt  ;D

Story of the week: are we only picking from pieces posted in the forum? Will the story of the week then migrate to the Tales section of the front end? I rather like Blunt's Revolution. Christ this is turning into the Blunt show   :bleh:  ;)
Writing, when properly managed, (as you may be sure I think mine is) is but a different name for conversation.

Mine's a bit crap to be going up on the front page, but I'll include all the options in the poll, and we can decide from there.  Maybe with the level of participation we're getting at the moment it's a bit too ambitious trying to change the story and pic weekly.  Perhaps we should try monthly until we get in the swing of things?

Neuromancer

Well there is plent of material there from the two of you, all of which are worthy candidates.  But if you disqualify them because, of this or that, pretty soon you have nothing :(

Don't recall revolution... but I did like the house plant stories.  Both of them, though the blood sucker was well written, I thought the stomach sipper story had more of a creative edge to it.

Not that my opinion counts...since I already mentioned one before :P

Well, the voting was inconclusive, so do you want to go again, or should we just take it in turns to choose one?  Tell you what, the first person to reply on this thread gets to choose!  Fair enough?  If nobody replies by tomorrow night, I'll make an executive decision ::) :D

Bitey

I haven't read nuttin I haven't seen any art yet!  So I have no nominations.

Ed

There are a few stories in both the crit section and the title game section, if you want to read something.  Not much in the way of art yet (still), so maybe you'd like to get on and post some pics of your paintings and sculptures?  Photos, even?  I'd like to see them :)
