Being in a hurry sets the stage for a lot of fumbles in life, many of which can be embarrassing enough to cause some emotional trauma!  ;D

This is a thread dedicated to blunders and the absentmindedness that produced them, and I would like to be the first one to share one.  :o

The other day I was running through a few chores, ( on a day off...  ::) ) and had gone the the laundry room at our complex which uses money cards that you recharge for wash and dry. After removing all of the dry clothes, cleaning the lint filter and closing the door, I placed the card back into the slot and pressed the button. This started a 1 hour drying cycle which costs $1.05 for an empty dryer, which made me feel more than a little dumb!!!!!!!!!!  ;)

I've got a feeling that today is going to be a lot like that for me - I've had about four hours sleep, and I never seem to perform the higher brain functions well on that amount of fitful slumber.  I currently have the brain of a dog...without the butt-sniffing urges, I hasten to add ;D
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]
