Good, good people of Cafe Doom... I could really use a bit of help with the Book Club on the Cumberland News website. I've done a bit of work on it, but, unfortunately, it seems as though Cumbrian people have trouble reading.

If you would be so kind, could you drop in to:

http://www.cumberland-news.co.uk/forums/

If you could register (which only takes a minute) then send a question to Hunter Davis, regarding something about his biographies, general writing, or Gazza, I would very much appreciate it!

Pleeeeaaassse?  :embarassed:

My gran used to work at the Cumberland News.  Spent most of my childhood scribbling on the 'end of roll' blank newspaper paper   Happy days....

I'll take a look at it tomorrow, Les.  No probs :afro:
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

Did all our grandparents bring their work home?
Like yours, Blunt, my gran brought home rolls of sellotape and other stationery, and my gramp, who was a master plasterer,  made ours the thickest walls in town!

Les, I have added a question for Hunter.
