Hey, Blunt, I'm digging the snow on the top of the boards. Very seasonal! I'm in Florida, and dreading the return to Maryland today--and snow!

Glad you like it, Sharon :afro:

I've just put up the Chef's story on the front page, too.  Thought it would be nice with people's thoughts turning towards Christmas - dinners, parties, and all that good stuff.  Having any relatives for lunch this year?

Personally, I'd love a good dump of snow here.  Britain grinds to a halt when we get a few inches of the white stuff and I'd happily take a month off right now

Hope you've enjoyed your break.  What's Florida like at this time of year?  I thought it was hurricane season?  Been to any of the parks, or was it just plain R&R?

The Chef's tale looks lovely, as does the nice Santa hat! Well done.

Florida is just R & R--with a dose of aggravation thrown in. We have a 2nd home here and plans to build a larger one for us old folks to migrate to in season. Our developer died last month, so hubby and I have been trying to pick up the pieces by phone, long distance, to see what's happening. Long story short, we found the builder and are hoping the permits are done so we MIGHT be able to commence. Of course, all prices are UP now, since the developer died, we need a new contract and a new mortgage. We own the land, at least. Worst comes to worst, if it gets to be too expensive, we'll sell it. But, that's a last resort.  Nothing's ever easy!

You can have your snow as long as you keep it that 20 miles farther west - I need to get over the hills to Shaftesbury and beyond in the course of next week, about some work, and nobody wants to do that ridge in the slippy stuff!

The only problem with snow for me, is that it gets packed up under the mudguards. This makes cycling very hard work, tripling the time it takes me to go for a paper.

:/  Sounds like a bit of a nightmare, Sharon.  I hope you manage to get it all sorted out with a reasonable, affordable budget.  It would be a shame to have to sell your dream home.

Joyce - I can imagine Shaftesbury hill being really good for tobogganing :afro:  Bit of a bummer on the way home, though.

Considering how hard it's snowing in the title bar, not a lot has piled up along the edge since it started...  ;)

Well, it's a cyber-snowglobe, isn't it?

Don't they have cyber-snowdrifts?

Then we're on to cyber-avalanches... :bleh:

Right - if something sweeps me right off my computer chair, I'll know what it is! :D
