Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

I'd like to say only in America, but I'm afraid it's not true anymore...

I had a day like that second video just yesterday! At least students have stopped coming to our front desk, SCREAMING because they can't get into a course.  :bangh:

That first video was disturbing.  ??? What's this fascination with blowing things up!!? I couldn't watch it all.

But the second video, oh man, thanks! That was priceless!!  :cheesy:  :cheesy:  :cheesy:

As a cyclist, I quite enjoyed the symbolicsm of the first one  :bleh:

I'm afraid watching those has relieved me of a few more brain cells ...

Couldn't keep the first one going for more than about 30 seconds. That's just sick.

No - I think it IS only in America. Their attitudes to guns fill me with dread, sometimes.

Yep, only in America

I don't know whether that is America, actually.  I thought it was only Canada where you're allowed to own and fire a machinegun

BTW, that buzzing sound you hear a few times during the clip, when loads of dust kicks up - that was a minigun being fired.  Those things are like electric gattling guns that fire at an astonishing rate - over ten rounds per second.  When you consider they must pay at least 50 cents per round (probably more) that's $5 a second to fire it, at least.  And that's on top of however much it cost to buy the gun in the first place :cheesy:

Dunno about that, Ed. I'm no expert on Canadian gun laws but there have been a lot of changes over here lately. Check out the following list of restricted and prohibited firearms and tell me if there are any machine guns in there:

Sheesh. Sharon gets to research the fine art of 'fluffing'. I get to check out guns!

Ooooo. Nice link. I now have a new folder for guns! One never knows when one might need it for a story!

Perhaps there's a new magazine waiting to be born: "Guns and Fluffers?"

Wow - the Canadian government have really clamped down.  You're not even allowed AK47s any more - probably because they can penetrate standard police isuue body armour.  AR15s are on the restricted list - similar type of assault rifle, but smaller calibre.

Heavy machineguns don't appear to be on the list at all, but legislators are usually more concerned with the ability to conceal and then use a weapon in a public place than actual firepower.  You'd need to be a fairly big lad to try and hold up a bank with one

Well, one of those videos featured "hot babes and power tools". I kid you not.

Reminds me of the film 'Top Secret', where one of the characters has a road drill with a dildo attachment.  Needless to say, the guy ends up in hospital.  One of the others (think it was Val Kilmer) asks the surgeon how he's doing, and the surgeon replies, "Not good - it took me eight hours just to get the smile off his face."  Something like that anyway
