Wow...now there's something you don't see everyday! That was great, Sally. Loved the ending and the (horrific) imagery.
"Lord, here comes the flood, we will say goodbye to flesh and blood. If, again, the seas are silent in any still alive, it'll be those who gave their island to survive. Drink up, dreamers, you're running dry."
Peter Gabriel.

Eeew, nasty :azn:  See, I think if all murderers were sentenced to the same fate they gave their victims, it probably wouldn't act as much more of a deterrent, but it would certainly seem more like 'justice'  Not that I would condone it anyway....
Planning is an unnatural process - it is much more fun to do something.  The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, rather than being preceded by a period of worry and depression. [Sir John Harvey-Jones]

Wow, Hannibal Lecter, eat your heart out.  :2thumbs: That's probably the best piece of writing I've seen in a very long time. Sally, you rock!
If people stand in a circle long enough, they will eventually begin to dance. -- George Carlin

Yup Sally, a nice slice of horror goes a long way here :afro:  And the ending was well thought out.

I also think Blunt has a point: 'an eye for an eye' sounds like good justice to me.
Writing, when properly managed, (as you may be sure I think mine is) is but a different name for conversation.

Thanks Canadian and Troglodyte. I was worried I'd overdone it when I read everyone else's stories. Maybe I'll try a bit less blood for the next comp  :/

I meant to say that I did try to balance the 'retribution' thing up by having the girl suffer in a similar way for bringing that upon him, and I hope that came across.

Really well written, Sally! Ugh, it made me shiver when I read the orgasmic whatsit. What a good ending, with the twin making him re-live what he'd done to her sister. Powerful stuff.

Well done, Sally!  (And I always thought of you as such a NICE girl... great stuff, to read something so surprisingly different from other work of yours. )

Thanks Joyce! Nice to know I can still surprise people
